Where are you based?

At the moment I am based in Read. I cover the following areas only - Read, Simonstone, Higham, Whalley, Billington, Old Langho, Clitheroe, Barrow, and Great Harwood.

Are you insured?

Yes. We are fully insured through Protectivity. This can be shown on request. I also hold a Criminal Records Bureau Certificate.

How long will you walk my dog for?

Your dog will be walked for either 30 minutes or 1 hour depending on your preferences. In cases of bad weather we will make sure your dog is towel dried as best as we can before returning your dog home.

What do you do with my house keys?

All house keys will have a colour coded tag on them which will have your dog's name only written on and will be kept secure in a storage box. Your name and address will be kept safe on file and be stored with me only. Should you misplace your keys, you can be worry free knowing I have a spare copy to hand.

What do you do in the case of an emergency?

In the unlikely event of an emergency we will immediately contact you or the second person of contact. If vetinerary assistance is required, we will take your dog to your nominated vet or to the nearest one possible. I will also always keep a first aid kit in my car and hold a certified qualification in Pet First Aid.

Will you walk my dog in all weathers?

Rain, snow, sleet or shine we will ensure your dog gets the exercise they deserve. However, if the heat exceeds 75F (very rare for England!) then it is recommended not to take your dog for a walk. The heat can cause blister burns on dog's paw pads and can also cause dehydration which wouldn't be pleasant for your dogs. Should this case arise, I can visit your dog instead to ensure they have some one to one interaction to break up their day.

Which animals do you provide house sitting/visits for?

I am a huge animal lover and I am more than happy to house sit and visit just about any animal. From dogs and cats, to lizards and rabbits, to gerbils and fish! I hold a qualification in pet sitting and have learnt a great deal on how to look after many different species. However, my arachnophobia is here to stay so I can't take care of your turantula friends!

What is a pet visit?

A pet visit is ideal for puppies in particular who can easily become bored or frustrated when left alone. I come to your house and play for either 30 minutes or 1 hour with your dog(s). I will also clean up any accidents, replenish water, feed them their lunch and also administer any medication that may be required.

Is there a way that I can find out what my dog has been up to during his/her walks?

Yes! You will be left a pet report each day where you can find out where your dog has been and what he/she has been up to. You can also find daily updates and photos of your dog on my Woof Trails Facebook page, and via instagram @woof_trails. Written consent for still photography will be signed off in my service agreement.

Do you do group dog walks?

I do not offer group dog walks as I prefer solo walks where I can dedicate all of my time to one dog and make sure he/she has my full attention. Anything can happen with group walks and I personally do not believe they are safe.
